The program components included thematic lectures on topics such as “nationalism”, “reading/deconstructing history”, “history of Anatolia, Antakya, and Armenians”, “communal identity issues in the age of globalization”. Other thematic presentations/workshops on “peace journalism”, “mapping conflict areas”, and “conflict resolution and negotiation” shed light on what can be done from an activist point of view. Interactive exercises held in joint sessions helped to clarify and dissolve prejudices & stereotype images versus actual personal identities. In the rest of the program, reserved for “working together”, a language course was held jointly as the whole group to teach each other “basic survival Turkish & Armenian”, with the facilitation of a bi-lingual tutor, and on free-times common words and practices were evaluated and, folk songs were sang. A seminar journal was produced each day, by a rotating team of journalists from among the participants, and also participants formed four groups to complete “a task” of their choice until the end of the program. The seminar program was paralleled by excursions around Antakya, including the celebrations on 14th of August in Vakiflikoy, an Armenian village in the vicinity, sightseeing tours in Antakya and a visit to the seaside.

The Summer School program was realized as shown below:
